Law Office of Kush Patel, PLLC (“Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information in connection with our legal services.

This Policy applies to information collected from clients and prospective clients in the course of legal representation and related communications.

1.     Information We Collect. In connection with providing legal services, we may collect and process the following categories of information:

  • Identifying information (such as name, email address, phone number, and mailing address)

  • Government-issued identification numbers (such as SSN or EIN)

  • Financial account information necessary for representation

  • Property ownership and transactional information

  • Estate planning information, including information regarding family members, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and healthcare directives

  • Communications data, including call logs, SMS messages, and voicemail recordings

Information relating to minor beneficiaries is collected solely from adult clients as part of estate planning and related legal services. We do not collect personal information from non-clients except as incidental to representation.

2.     How We Use Information. We use personal information solely for legitimate business and professional purposes, including:

  • Providing legal advice and representation

  • Client intake and matter management

  • Billing and payment processing

  • Internal operations and recordkeeping

  • Compliance with professional and legal obligations

  • Firm updates and limited informational communications

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not permit service providers to use client information for their own independent purposes.

3.     Service Providers and Technology Platforms. We use reputable third-party technology providers to assist in delivering legal services and operating our firm. These providers process information solely on our behalf and subject to contractual obligations.

These service providers assist with functions such as:

  • Communication systems (including voice, SMS, and voicemail recording systems)

  • Secure database and matter management infrastructure

  • Document storage and collaboration systems

  • Payment processing and billing administration

  • Form collection and workflow tools

  • Hosting and infrastructure services

Payment information is processed through secure, tokenized payment processors. The Firm does not store full credit card numbers. If, in the future, we utilize artificial intelligence or automation tools to assist with document preparation or workflow, such tools will operate solely as service providers and will not receive independent rights to client data.

4.     Call and Message Recording. Incoming and outgoing telephone calls may be recorded automatically. Notice of recording is provided at the time of the call. Recordings are retained for a minimum of five (5) years unless a longer retention period is required for legal or professional reasons.

5.     Data Retention. Client files and associated information are retained in accordance with applicable Texas Bar rules and professional obligations.

6.      Data Security. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:

  • Encryption in transit

  • Role-based access controls

  • Secure cloud storage infrastructure

  • Multi-factor authentication where appropriate

No system can guarantee absolute security; however, we take data protection seriously and limit access to authorized personnel only.

7.     Confidentiality and Attorney-Client Privilege. Information provided to the Firm in connection with legal representation is subject to professional confidentiality obligations.. Nothing in this Privacy Policy alters or waives attorney-client privilege or any other applicable protection. Communications with the Firm do not establish an attorney-client relationship unless and until a formal engagement agreement is executed.

8.     Requests Regarding Personal Information. Clients may contact us to request access to or correction of their personal information, subject to legal and professional retention requirements.
